Sailing
Datchet Water is ideal for sailing dinghies, keelboats, catamarans, windsurfers, wing foils and stand up paddleboards. We offer sailing for a wide range of classes with at least one boat of almost every class in our boat park.
We welcome foiling dinghies, asymmetric & symmetric dinghy classes, single-handers & double-handers as well as boasting one of the largest inland catamaran fleets in the country, so whatever you sail you can come along and join in the fun.
Traditional classes are well represented at the club with Flying Fifteens, Wayfarers and Lasers all having a strong following. Newer classes are also well represented; we have a competitive fleet of K1 single handed keel-boats and a large fleet of WASZP foiling dinghies.
We have a strong windsurfing and wing-foil groups who enjoy our open water and clear winds.
Datchet Water Sailing Club is an RYA accredited training centre and offer tuition at all levels.
The club & water is open from Wednesday to Sunday, weather permitting. Whenever the water is open, patrol boat cover is provided.
Off the Race Course
We're not just about the race course. Whether you're looking for some improver training or just something to aim for while sailing around, we have something for you. Look at the training section for more information on what we have to offer. We can provide a daily course for recreational or training sailors to sail around and offer a GPS to be able to track your speed too. These are all found in the wet bar and a full GPS user guide can be found here: GPS Use Guide
