Membership Terms and Conditions
In applying for membership to Datchet Water Sailing Club you are agreeing to undertake at least two duty days,4 half duty days or to pay a buyout fee per year. Membership fees are not refundable. New members joining between 1st January and 31st March can enjoy more than 12 months membership for one year's annual subscription and fee. Members joining after 1st July pay full entrance fee, but membership and boat fees are pro rata.
I confirm that I:-
(a)Hold current Third Party Insurance for £3,000,000,when using or storing any form of craft,owned by me,at DWSC.
(b)Agree to abide by the Club Rules currently in force as set out on the website or available from the club office.
(c)Understand that the safety of any craft and its entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/competitor whilst on the club premises.
Limitation of Club's Liability
Members of the Club, their guests and visitors, may use the Club Premises and any other facilities of the Club entirely at their own risk and impliedly accept that:
(a)The Club will not accept any liability for any damage to or loss of property belonging to members, their guests or visitors to the Club.
(b)Persons using the water do so at their own risk. All water users are reminded that a patrol boat must be launched and ready for use before using the water. Any person going afloat does so entirely at their own risk.
(c)Parents or Guardians of persons under the age of 18 shall be responsible for their safety, actions and behaviour whilst at the club.
The Club will not accept any liability for personal injury arising out of the use of the Club premises, and any other facilities of the Club, or out of participation in any race organised by the Club, whether sustained by members, their guests or visitors, or caused by said members, guests or visitors, whether or not such damage or injury could have been attributed to or was occasioned by the neglect, default or negligence of any of the Officers, Committee or servants of the Club.
