Summer Week 5 » RYA Assistant Instructor Course - Fully Booked

The RYA Assistant Dinghy Instructor course is aimed at people looking to start the Dinghy Instructor pathway but either do not yet have the required pre-requisites or are not yet of age. In order to qualify for this course, you should have passed at least one of the advanced modules and should have spoken to our sailing manager.

The course covers basic teaching principles, centre specific safe operating procedures and training for unfamiliar equipment. Candidates will be assessed on their teaching ability with beginners.

Following the course, you will be qualified to assist on courses up to Stage 3 and Level 2. Unlike most of the RYA awards, this award is specific to the training centre it is passed at.

Duration: three-days
Pre-course requirements: At least one of the advanced modules and a recommendation from our training manager. Minimum age of 12.
