This course is ideal for juniors who have completed Stage 2 and are ready to work towards completing Stages 3 and 4. Following the RYA Youth Sailing Syllabus, it provides a comprehensive pathway for young sailors to advance their skills and confidence while preparing for more challenging and exciting sailing opportunities.
Participants will build on their Stage 2 foundation, mastering the techniques required for Stage 3 and progressing into the advanced skills of Stage 4. They will gain experience in reefing, sailing on all points of sail, double handed boats, and navigating a triangular course. The course also introduces participants to advanced modules such as sailing with spinnakers and racing, which are rapidly growing areas in the sailing world, helping them take the next big step in their sailing journey.
The course includes a mix of on-the-water practice, land-based activities, and classroom sessions, with lessons tailored to the group and weather conditions.
Boats, wetsuit, spray top & buoyancy aid hire is included.
This Course runs over 3 Days, 09:30 - 12:30
Pre-course requirements: RYA Stage 2 & 3, age 7 to 15.
