Change of Structure to Sunday Racing

Dear Members,

For the months of December 2015 and January 2016, we will trial a change of format of Sunday Racing. There will be 2 races with 2 starts;

1. Non Asymmetric- First start at 11.00am

2. Asymmetric – First start at 11.05am

The Non- Asymmetric boats will sail a course TBC and the Asymmetric boats will sail a windward leeward course.

What’s on at the Club this Weekend?

Dear Members,

Here is a summary of what we have on at the club this weekend.

· Continuing Sunday Racing Autumn Series with races 9-10

· We welcome the Laser 4.7’s for their 4th Ladder Event.

· The Datchet Water Radio Sailing Club are holding a Rules talk with Chris Watts from the RYA Presenting

Great news, the water level is on the rise. The lip has now been covered and the pumps are still on. Let’s hope for a full reservoir very soon

Registering for Bart’s Bash for this Sunday

Just a reminder to register your information on the Bart’s Bash website if you intend to race the first race of the club championship this weekend as this will be the Bart’s Bash event. This year you do not have to raise money if you don’t want to but by registering ahead of time it certainly makes it easier for us to sort the results out for the BB race.

Bart’s Bash This Sunday 20th September

Hi All

This coming Sunday 20thnot only the Club Championships but is also this year’s Bart’s Bash sponsored race. The first race of the club champion will be a measured Bart’s Bash race as we completed last year and is the way the Andrew Simpson foundation ( raise money to support the transformation of young lives through our sport of sailing.

Please make sure you sign up on the Bart’s Bash website asap and get that sponsorship in. Please note that the helm and crew do need to sign up independently. This is the one event a year that your club asks you to raise money for the good of our sport so please get involved and sign up now.
