The state of the weather is very important to sailors, we
are always complaining about it!
Several members have asked about the possibility of having presented
on this web site recent information about the wind speed & direction
at Datchet, together with a web cam images of the water
conditions. It has been done by other clubs and has now been
completed (September 2003).
One member did more than just ask, they submitted a proposal that
include projected costs. Until a decision is made and as additional
information, the following links are provided to allow members to gain
some idea of the state of the weather and its possible effects.
A Davis Vantage
Pro wireless weather station was installed in October 2002. For period
of approximately 24 months the data was available from this web site. The
good news is that the service is shortly to come back into operation,
January 2007.
