The Club has a full stock of RYA publications for all RYA courses.  For adults and youth sailors following the RYA National Sailing Scheme, it is essential to buy an RYA Log book to place certificates and identify the syllabus used throughout the course.

 

RYA Handbooks are also available for pre-course reading and will support the background sailing knowledge provided through our courses.  Handbooks are also an ideal gift for anyone starting a sailing course.

Datchet Water Sailing Club is a fully accredited RYA Training Centre and offers courses for adults, children, school / activity groups and taster sessions.

 

Using a team of RYA qualified and experienced instructors, we are able to offer training in the entire RYA National Training Schemes for adults and juniors.  Using our fleet of Topaz dinghies, sailing takes place on the reservoir with access to wet training rooms, wet bar and changing rooms.  The Club House benefits from panoramic views of the Berkshire country side and Windsor Castle, making Datchet Water SC the ideal place to sail.

 

For all training courses, wets suits, buoyancy aids and a waterproof spray top are provided.  It is essential that all sailors bring their own swimsuit / costume, change of dry clothing, a towel and footwear that can get wet.

 

During this time of hot, sunny weather it is fully recommended that all sailors bring plenty of sun cream, a wide brimmed hat and sun-glasses.  Water is available in the Club.

 

If your course is on a weekend, full catering for breakfast, lunch and snacks is available and the Club bar will be open at the end of the day! If your course falls during a week day, please call the Club prior to the start of your course to find out if food is available to purchase from the Club.
