RYA Multi-Hull Courses

DWSC is able to offer Club members the opportunity to train in multi-hull boats as part of their RYA training and development.  Using the Clubs fleet of Topaz 14 and 16CX multi-hulls, Club members can now take advantage of the teaching skills and knowledge recently gained by the Clubs team of instructors.

Club members who have gained their RYA Level 1 in dinghies may choose to continue their sail training by taking their RYA Level 2 with the multi-hull endorsement.  This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to experience the speed and excitement that multi-hull sailing has to offer.

Multi-hull sailing skills covered include sail trim and settings, balance, airflow and tacking / gybing techniques.  An introduction to trapezing and spinnaker sailing will also be covered.

Please note, due to the wet nature of multi-hull sailing and the colder weather / water temperature, it is essential that you have the correct sailing clothing for this course.  A dry suit is fully recommended as it will allow you to enjoy your time out on the water without getting too cold.

The Club can supply a full wet suit and spray top, however a thermal rash vest, sailing boots, hats and gloves are essential is not wearing a dry suit.
