The concrete beach can get very slippery when wet, especially the closer to the edge of the water you get and just into the water.   Please be advised that the reservoir is deep and drops to a depth of 45 feet within a short distance of the water's edge (see diagram below), so if your launching trolley does not float make sure that it has a recovery line attached and some one ashore is holding on to it.

Your attention is drawn to 4 of the club rules
From November 1st until April 30th, or at any other time when Flag 'Y' is flown from the Clubhouse Flagpole, the following minimum requirements are mandatory

Dinghy/Multi-hull Sailors - a Full Wetsuit or Dry Suit with appropriate thermal undergarments

Keelboat sailors - a Full Wetsuit or Dry Suit with appropriate thermal undergarments. Polar suits may be substituted for wet or dry suits.

Board sailors - a Winter steamer or Dry Suit with appropriate thermal undergarments.

From May 1st until October 31st the following minimum requirements are mandatory

Board sailors - a Dry Suit or Wet Suit that covers the legs, trunk and chest; shoulders and arms shall also be covered, but this need not be in wet suit material.

 
Wear adequate personal buoyancy whilst afloat which shall, as a minimum, support 4.5 kilograms of weight and be centred above the waist. (The following do not constitute adequate personal buoyancy: Wetsuits, Drysuits or Boardsailing harnesses.) If buoyancy is of the inflatable type it shall at all times be inflated sufficiently to support the wearer in the water.
All children under the age of 12 shall wear life jackets or personal buoyancy at all times when out on the beach and launching areas as well as whilst on the water
Parents or Guardians of persons under the age of 16 will be responsible for their safety, actions and behaviour whilst at the Club.

and the following regarding buoyancy that has appeared in the Notice of Race for several RYA Junior & Youth events recently

Adequate personal buoyancy shall be worn by all crew members whilst afloat. Every competitor shall wear above the waist a jacket or vest manufactured with minimum buoyancy when deflated, in fresh water, of 4kg. Wet suits and dry suits do not constitute personal buoyancy to comply with RRS 1.2.
