Winter Topper / Vibe Squad Training

 

Starting on Sunday 1st November 2009 is the JYS Winter Topper / Vibe Squad training programme, meeting every Sunday afternoon between 1:30 and 4:30pm, race training will be provided over a six week period completing on Sunday 6th December.

 

Due the cold weather associated with the winter season, JYS will only run for advance Topper / Vibe squad sailors who will need to be provided with the minimum clothing:

 

Either a 5mm or thicker full length “steamer” wet suit or a suitable Drysuit

Suitable sailor boots (the thicker the better!)

Gloves, hat and any other suitable winter sailing gear

 

Sunday race training will be provided by our team of race instructors with a full detailed programme to follow.  To maintain motivation throughout the colder weather, a RYA Race coach will be booked for the last Sunday of each month under the RYA Volvo Championship scheme.
