At DWSC we keep our instructors at the highest level of qualification and thus we run quite a number of Instructor Courses throughout the year.
For aspiring sailors over the age of 14 we run the RYA Assistant Instructors Course which is the beginning of most people’s Instructing career.
After this the Dinghy Instructor Course is a week long program that looks at how to teach people to sail using the RYA method which may lead into employment in the watersports industry.
Along with the main instructor courses we also offer the endorsement for racing and multihull sailing. These are run over a weekend and are an excellent way for instructors to improve their knowledge.
Not to be left out the RYA First Aid course looks over the First Aid needed in instructing situations and is a prerequisite to becoming an RYA Instructor or Coach. These are run from 9am to 4pm on the dates to the right.
