Mission: To manage and promote racing at the Club at all levels

Responsibilities:

	To organise and promote 'Club Racing'
	To manage, promote and organise 'Open Meetings'
	To ensure that Council's objectives for events are met
	To ensure that the Racing Rules of Sailing are upheld at the Club
	To organise training in order to achieve the above
	To liase with outside organisations, e.g. RYA, class associations etc.
	To manage safety boat cover for the Club and other safety matters related to on-water activities
	To manage a "Race Management Promotion" Budget (replacement for fleet funds)
	To monitor the turnout for club racing

Membership: Flag Officer, a PRO, Safety Officer, Statistics Officer, eight Group Captains directly elected by the membership (see Appendix 1) and three members appointed by Council (if considered appropriate)
