Mission: To develop and promote Datchet Water Sailing Club as the premier sailing centre in the South East of England

Responsibilities:

	Undertake the fiscal management of the Club
	Set overall policy for running of the Club
	Set long term goals for the club, e.g. a rolling 5-year plan
	Appoint sub-committees as required for the smooth running of the club
	Ratify the decisions of all sub-committees
	Ensure all legal requirements are met, e.g.

Safety, Health and Environment

Insurance

Company registration

Taxation

Annual accounts

	Appoint staff
	Ensure job descriptions of staff and officers are documented and maintained, i.e. have regular review dates
	Enter into any legal agreements, leases etc. as may be necessary
	Approve new membership applications
	Discipline of members
	Ensure all club procedures & processes are documented and maintained, i.e. have regular review dates
