The Vice Commodores Challenge Plate (VCCP) was presented by
a past Vice Commodore, Kelvin Harper, to encourage racing on Saturday
afternoons.
The VCCP has been a series of races on 5 or 6 Saturday afternoons
during the period April to September, the exact period tends to change
from year to year. There are usually two races per Saturday afternoon each
lasting about one hour. The individual race results are calculated on an
average lap handicap basis, i.e. the faster boats sail more laps.
The VCCP has been poorly supported in recent years and the series has
not been run sine 2001.
