Club Boats for Hire
Datchet Water Sailing Club has quite a number of club boats available for hire. These are available by booking in with the club office or turning up. There is a minimum sailing ability needed to hire each of these and and hire is subject to the approval of the senior instructor present.
Note: There is a 50% discount for any junior hiring to take part in club racing.
Sailing kit can also be hired from the club for £3 for wetsuit, buoyancy aid and spraytop and £3 for trapeze harness.The calendar below shows current bookings for hire boats.

Topper Topaz 16 Manufacturer - Topper Type - 1, 2, or 3 person catamaran Number of boats - 3 (1 with spinnaker) Trapeze - 2 Skills needed - RYA Level 2 Multihull or RYA Stage 4 (at DWSC) Hire charge (half day) - £20
The Topaz 16 is a fantastic modern training boat which has won many awards in recent years. It can be raced by one or two people including juniors and gives a good turn of speed. For cruising the cat can take up to 4 juniors or 3 adults and has fast but forgiving performance.
One of our boats is available with a spinnaker for an extra £10 for the half day to give that little extra turn of speed. |

Hobie Twixxie Manufacturer - Hobie Type - 1, 2, or 3 person catamaran Number of boats - 3 Trapeze - 2 Skills needed - RYA Level 1 Multihull or RYA Stage 4 (at DWSC) Hire charge (half day) - £20
The Hobie Twixxie is a fantastic rugged Catamaran with a good turn of speed. The boat can be sailed by up to 3 adults or 4 juniors and features twin trapeze.
We have 3 of these available to hire and if conditions permit they are available to people with RYA Level 1 Multihull or above. |

Hobie Catsy Manufacturer - Topper Type - 1, 2, or 3 person catamaran Number of boats - Trapeze - 0 Skills needed - RYA Level 1 Multihull or RYA Stage 2 (at DWSC) Hire charge (half day) - £20
The Hobie Catsy is an excellent small catamaran for children from 8 to 12 with easy handling and great speed. The boat is very simple and easy to use and is available to any juniors who have done Stage 2 or above at Datchet Water Sailing Club or another centre that teaches catamaran sailing. |

The Topaz Uno is a fantastic boat to start sailing in, simple, easy to sail but yet exciting at the same time. The boat is avilable to hire for anyone who has done there RYA Level 1 or Stage 3 to practise before they move on more advanced courses and boats. |

The Topper is an excellent training boat and one of the most successful Junior Racing classes. These boats regularly race at DWSC and our 14 boats offer the perfect opportunity to build an Olympic Career..
These boats are available at half price for any juniors wishing to take part in racing at Datchet Water Sailing Club and the club regularly hosts events for over 200 Toppers. |

The Laser is the most popular sailing dinghy ever made and is a fantastic boat for Youth and Adult racing with a number of different size sails available.
Bums on Boats Laser Training days take place regularly throughout the year and the club boats are available for these. |

RS Feva Manufacturer - RS Type - 2 person junior racer Number of boats - 1 Trapeze - 0 Skills needed - RYA Level 2 or RYA Stage 4 Hire charge (half day) - £20 (£10 for juniors racing)
The RS Feva is currently the most popular 2 person boat for junior and has a great racing circuit. The boat can be sailed by 2 juniors or 1 adult and has an Asymmetric Spinnaker. |

Topper Vibe Manufacturer - Topper Type - 2 or 3 person mono hull Number of boats - Trapeze - 1 Skills needed - RYA Level 2 or RYA Stage 4 (at DWSC) Hire charge (half day) - £20 (£10 for juniors racing)
The Vibe is a nippy and responsive boat for two smaller sailors and includes a optional asymmetric spinnaker. Like the Topper the Vibe Is available half price for junior sailors racing in DWSC club races.

Topper Xenon Manufacturer - Topper Type - 2 to 4 person Mono hull Number of boats - 3 Trapeze - 0 (1 boat has optional trapeze) Skills needed - RYA Level 2 or RYA Stage 4 (At discretion of senior instructor) Hire charge (half day) - £20
The Xenon is large monohull suitable for up to 4 people but traditionally raced by 2. It offers a good turn of speed as well as being forgiving and reasonably easy to sail. All 3 DWSC boats come with the option of a training or racing sail depending on the type of sailing you are wishing to do.

All hired boats must be signed out at the office on arrival and returned at the end of the allocated booking time.
A deposit of £50 will be placed on all hired boats to cover any damages that occur due to miss-use.
