Sailing instructions

Following some valuable feedback over the weekend we have updated the Sunday Morning SI’s to be easier to understand. A number of us were caught out by the RO on Sunday correctly using the sailing instructions and signals however many of us had not read the SI’s and hence confusion reigned.

The SI’s are now correct on the website and I encourage you to take a look as we have some new courses introduced at the beginning of this series that will hopefully improve our racing experience.

We will have the SI’s on the notice board and draw your attention to them in the club house.

Thanks to the Race Officer on Sunday who did a great job of using one of the new courses available.

As always your feedback is always welcome.

New Courses Available For Sunday Morning Series

Update for everyone, the new courses that were testing during the Winter Series are available for the current series and all series moving forward.

The Sailing Instructions have been updated to reflect these changes and you will see different flags flying on the committee boat to signify which course the Race Officer has set. Please read the sailing instructions on this site to make sure you are aware of these changes.

@RaceOfficers – Sorry we have not updated the Race Officer Handbook yet but I noticed that the one on the website still talks about how to start the engine on Osmo so I need to get on and update that as soon as possible.

The results from this afternoon’s races have now been published to

The wind seemed to be more consistent than in the morning. It’s a shame a few more boats didn’t turn out. What happened to all those who requested this in last year’s club survey?

Thanks go to Martin Wilson and his team for their long day on the committee boat.
