RYA Adult Courses
With a team of fully qualified and experienced RYA Instructors, we are able to offer a full range of adult courses from beginners to advanced and Club race level. All courses are run using our modern fleet of Topaz dinghies and all RYA teaching and safety ratios and guidelines.
RYA Two-Day Level 1 Beginners Course
Aimed at all adults who are new to the sport of sailing, our beginners course is the best way to get out onto the water and experience the joys of sailing in a safe and controlled environment. Sailing with one of our instructors on the boat, our two-day course will provide you with the knowledge and experiences to rig a dinghy, launch from the beach or pontoon, perform manoeuvres such as tacks and gybes and return our boat safely to the beach or pontoon.
A capsize drill with our instructor will also be part of the course allowing you to gain the experience of recovering your boat should the wind get the better of you!

Any Club member wishing to hire one of our Topaz single-handed or double-handed dinghy will also need to achieve their RYA Level 2 before being allowed to use the Club boats.
