Datchet Water Sailing Club is a members club. The club officers are the Commodore, a Vice Commodore, two Rear Commodores and a Treasurer. The Council consists of the Officers and not more than nine members elected at the Annual General Meeting. The club employs 4 permanent members of staff. The Club Secretary and 2 members of Council form the day-to-day management team. The Sailing Committee, led by the Vice Commodore, is a key conduit between the club membership and the administration.
Running the day-to-day administration and finance of the club is Gabrielle Boase, who is the General Manager and can be found at the club from Wednesday to Sunday.
Also available to assist club members with all things sailing are Stuart our Supervising Senior Instructor and Tristan Beckett.
The club also employees a wide range of watersports instructors on a freelance basis who are responsible for delivering RYA courses to club members. If anyone has any questions, they are more than welcome to either contact the office on 01753 683872 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

Favourite Sailing Memory- First demo sail of the RS600
I have been racing sailing dinghies since the mid 70's, and now race a K1 as much as I can. I have a son who has been through the Topper and Laser circuits and is now working here at DWSC. I have been involved with safety around dinghy racing from the mid 80's and was heavily involved with the safety around the Topper and Laser circuit. I decided to join the DWSC council to help drive improvements to the club.
During the 3 year I have as Commodore I want to drive membership within DWSC.

Tom Hayhoe races an SB20 at DWSC with his wife Natalie Jobling.
They were members in the in the early 1990s when they raced a Laser 5000 and rejoined in 2006 when they bought the SB20. Tom and Natalie also race a J105, Mostly Harmless, based on the Hamble.
Tom was previously vice commodore of the Royal Ocean Racing Club and commodore of Ranelagh Sailing Club, where he still occasionally races a National 12..
Professionally, Jeremy is a trained software engineer having studied for 6 years at college and holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and is a Member of the British Computer Society and Institute of Directors.
In the past few years Jeremy has been active on the DWSC Sailing Committee and represented the Youth Fleet. For 3 years Jeremy was DWSC 20Kt Squad Captain for attendance at the NSSA Inlands, NSSA Single Handed Team Racing and the NSSA Regatta Weeks. He is an active Safety Cox for DWSC during Sunday racing or regattas.
Jeremy is married to Nina, has 3 sons and lives in Windsor. His youngest son Harry is a keen sailor having completed many courses at DWSC from a young age. Used to race a Hobie FX-One at DWSC during the Summer Wednesday evening series Jeremy looks forward to contributing in a positive fashion, supporting the management and Commodore's team in moving the DWSC in to the future.
I’m a windsurfer and sailor and raced a Dart 18 before having kids. These days I seem to spend most Sundays ferrying them around so don’t get to spend much time on the water, but am hoping to get back out there more regularly. My daughter Emily is a keen member of the 20 knot squad. I work in London for a tv production company and live in Taplow just outside Maidenhead
When not scampering up Volcanos or tracking down diamonds from outer space he can be seen planning the waters of Datchet on his Windsurfer or trying to break the speed record on his FX 1. Adrian has been a long standing member of the club and is looking forward to contributing to council and supporting the Commodore.
I am a qualified Chartered Management Accountant, with a Business Degree from Limerick University. I sit on the Board of Directors for the London Branch of Club Managers of Europe.

Favourite Sailing Memory- Coming 8th in the Fireball French Nationals - a while ago!
I joined DWSC around 1982 as a junior member sailing a Mirror Dinghy. Over the years I have competitively sailed a 420, Laser, Fireball, Osprey, Int 14, Flying Fifteen, Laser 5000 and a brief spell in a 470 training with the Olympic Squad. With two young children and my interest in golf, sailing has taken a bit of a back seat recently. During my time at Datchet I spent 15 years on Council for the majority of which I was the Honorary Treasurer.
I now work for Rouse Partners and spend one day a week at DWSC doing all the accounts work.
