RS 500 Race Training at

Datchet Water Sailing Club

(Combine with entry to Winter Warm Up series)

6th and 20th February 2010

 

As part of the build up to the RS 500 World Championships in the Netherlands this summer the RS Class Association is running a series of open training events.  The first two of these will be hosted by  Datchet Water Sailing Club, just west of London, on Saturdays 6th and 20th February, 2010.  These are open to all ages and all abilities and run by Ollie Spensley-Corfield the 2008 National Champion & an RS coach.  After an initial on-shore briefing and rigging discussion, exercises will be performed afloat which are likely to include start practice; tacking and gybing practice; etc.  On the Sunday the fleet can join the start of the Winter Warm Up series racing on windward/leeward courses with a separate start if the numbers are sufficient. This runs for the four Sundays of February.

 

The start time on Saturday is 10.00 am.  Please be rigged and ready by this time.  The sequence on Sunday starts at 10.25 am.

 

The prices for the training and Winter Warm up Series are: -

 

£25 per boat for just either the training Saturdays

£35 per boat for a weekend

£75 per boat for two training days and the Winter Warm-Up

£15 per boat for club members who want to do one days training or £25 for the two.

£10 discount for Youths/Students for each training day.
